Performance Makeup Information
For performance makeup, our goal is to ensure that our dancers’ faces are clearly visible on stage.
Level 1 and Up Dancers:
For our level 1 and up dancers, please check out the tutorial video for our performance makeup example. Please avoid any glitter.
Combo Class Littles:
For our littles, we recommend using blush, lipstick, and defining eyebrows. You’re welcome to add some mascara as well, but please avoid any glitter.
***As a preferred option, we suggest using Maybelline Superstay lipstick in the shade “Dancer” to complete the look.
Performance Hair Information
For performance hair, our goal is to create a polished look that complements our dancers. We want to make sure the dancers face is visible to the audience and their hair is not a distraction.
Level 1 and up dancers:
Style hair in a slicked back high ponytail or a high bun. (we will let you know which style you will need depending on your class)
The high pony will need to be curled. Clip-in ponytails are also a great option. Click here for an example.

Please remember natural hair colors only.
Combo Class Littles:

Performance Costume/Shoe/Earring Information
When we pick out our costumes for our dancers, our goal is to help bring the story of their performances to life while creating a beautiful and cohesive experience. It’s important that all dancers come prepared to dress rehearsal and performance nights with their entire costume, shoes, tights and earrings.
Costume Requirements For All Levels:
Nude under leotard (can purchase from Nimbly here)
Tights provided with the costume (extra available for purchase at the studio or from Nimbly here)
OSP performance earrings - You can purchase clip on or pierced earrings at the studio for $8.50
Appropriate shoes based on class requirements
Costumes need to arrive wrinkle-free and all pieces intact.
Please label everything you can! We often see shoes/pieces of costumes go missing because several other dancers have the same costume and it’s accidentally packed up with someone else.
OSP Nimbly Dancewear Store
Please use our online studio store at Nimbly to purchase dancewear. If ordering shoes from our site, please make sure you have been sized for them at the studio beforehand as they do run very small.
